Master Gardeners have dedicated an incredible 381 hours volunteering in last three months, reveals our Sept-Nov 2010 report.
Volunteers shared food growing skills at a huge array of exciting community events, speaking to another 2,000 people to bring the total to 4,689 Warwickshire residents since the programme began in April 2010. September was especially busy for stalls, stands and talks, while support for households is continuing right into the winter months. We now have over 140 individuals, couples and families in Warwickshire signed up as regularly supported households – and this number keeps on growing up.
Getting together
In November we enjoyed in-service training at Hill Close Gardens, where over two thirds of our 43 volunteers came along to share ideas and learn some more soil science. We also enjoyed a lovely tour of these Victorian pleasure gardens in Warwick.

What’s next?
We are now looking forward to 2011, with Master Gardeners helping households plan what to grow, and here at Garden Organic to begin recruiting another 20 Master Gardeners to be trained in March 2011.
A big thank you to all the Master Gardeners and for making this project the success that it is!
